Entertaiment 101

Entertaiment

Entertaiment is the practice of creating and presenting activities to make audiences happy. This could include musical performances, shows, or even zoo animals. Depending on the audience, these activities could be very different, ranging from small family events to huge events that draw thousands of spectators.

Musical performances

Music performances are events in which performers present their works of art to an audience. In some cultures, these performances are based on oral transmission, while in others, music is performed according to the specific specifications of a score. Regardless of the form of a musical performance, audiences typically have a range of aesthetic standards that affect how they assess a piece.

Zoo animals

The animals in zoos are suffering from a severe lack of stimulation. In the wild, animals roam hundreds of miles, play with children, and explore intricate social relationships. However, in zoos, they are confined to four walls. This lack of stimulation leads to self-destructive behaviors, including pacing, swaying, and rocking. To make sure these animals stay as well-behaved as possible, zookeepers sometimes give them anti-depressants to hide their distress.

Music

Music is an excellent form of entertainment. Music is played in most social events and is usually meant to celebrate or keep people entertained.

Dance

Dance as part of entertainment has a long and rich history. Its roots can be traced back to ancient Greece, where it was used as an integral part of the theater. Dance is a form of communication, a way for people to express themselves. It involves discipline, technique, and creativity. Today, it is more than a celebrated performing art.
